Mineral County Terms of Use

These terms set the conditions for using Mineral County Property Records. By continuing to use the reference, you agree to the provisions below; leave the site if you do not accept them.

1. Nature of the Service

Mineral County Property Records is an independent reference. It explains where deed, assessment, tax, and parcel information for Mineral County, West Virginia can be found and links to those sources. It does not store county records or operate as a government office, court, County Clerk, or Assessor.

2. Lawful Use of the Reference

Use the service only in ways permitted by law. You may not use these pages or information obtained through them to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
  • Commit deed fraud, identity theft, or any other fraud
  • Make FCRA-regulated decisions (credit, employment, tenant, insurance)
  • Scrape, copy, or republish the site's content at scale
  • Interfere with the site's operation or security

3. No Consumer Reports

This service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq.). Neither these pages nor results returned by an outside search tool are consumer reports, and they cannot be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose covered by the FCRA.

4. No Title, Survey, or Legal Opinion

Searching public property records does not create a title report, settle a boundary, or provide legal advice. A title company, licensed surveyor, or attorney must handle those professional questions. This reference is not a substitute for their work.

5. External Resources

County and state portals, as well as outside services such as sponsored search tools, set their own rules. We do not control those sites’ terms, content, uptime, fees, or data handling.

6. No Guarantee of Service or Data

The reference is offered “as is” and “as available,” without a warranty. We make no promise that its details are complete, accurate, or up to date, or that a linked portal will remain available or show a correct result.

7. Liability Limits

As far as the law permits, the operators are not responsible for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special loss connected with this service or an outside resource, including a decision based on a record located through a link.

8. Responsibility for Misuse

You agree to protect the site operators from claims, demands, and reasonable legal fees that result from your misuse of the service or breach of these terms.

9. Site Materials

Original writing, visual design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. You may link to pages and quote short excerpts with attribution; full-page republication or systematic copying is not allowed.

10. Changes

We may revise these conditions by publishing a new version on this page. Continued use after the revision takes effect is acceptance of the updated terms.

11. West Virginia Law

West Virginia law governs these terms, without applying conflict-of-law rules. Requests for public records held by Mineral County offices are addressed by the West Virginia Freedom of Information Act, W. Va. Code §29B-1-1 et seq.; send each request to the custodian that holds the record.

12. Remaining Provisions

If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the rest of the terms continue to apply.
